THE WORST INJURIES OF 2017 SO FAR

This year has been a rough one for a lot of professional athletes. So far in 2017, a bunch of big athletes have gone down with terrible injuries that will keep them out for the season and maybe even affect their whole career. Here’s the worst so far…

  1. Gordon Hayward: In the NBA season opener against the Cavs, he was going up for an Alley-Oop and he fell, fracturing and dislocating his ankle. His ankle totally looked like it was facing the wrong direction and it looked like it really hurt. He was the big free agent signing for The Celtics this year and has a 4-year $128 million contract. That stinks for him AND for the Celtics.
  2.  O’dell Beckham Jr: When the Giants played the LA Chargers on October 8th, OBJ got his foot caught under a defender and he fractured his ankle. He had surgery on it and he’s out for the whole season. It was so bad, he cried when he was leaving the field. Now the Giants REALLY stink!
  3. Aaron Rodgers: When the Green Bay Packers played the Vikings on October 15th, a defender tackled him really hard on his shoulder and he broke his collarbone. Now Rodgers is probably out for the whole season.
  4. Jeremy Lin: The guard for the Brooklyn Nets went up for a layup and came down on his right knee so hard, he is now out for the whole season. The name of his injury is a ruptured patellar tendon. That sounds painful!
  5. Carson Palmer: Just yesterday, the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals broke his arm in a game against the Rams. Now he’s out for at least 8 weeks.

Even though I know you could get hurt playing sports, I hope I never get an injury like one of these.
