IS IT OK TO CELEBRATE IN THE END ZONE?

People used to say that NFL stands for No Fun League because there were strict rules about celebrating in the end zone. But in May, Roger Goodell said people could celebrate in the end zone as long as it didn’t delay the game, it wasn’t directed at another player and it wasn’t offensive. I agree with this. When I make a great play in sports I get really happy and I want to let my excitement out. But I think that certain kinds of behavior are very inappropriate.

Last week Odell Beckham Jr. got in trouble for pretending to be a dog peeing in the end zone. People said it was disgusting. I laughed but I also think it was pretty gross.

Over the years there have been some funny, silly and inappropriate end zone celebrations. Antonio Brown twerked in the end zone,  Terrell Owens pretended to take a nap on the ball, Doug Baldwin pretended to pull down his pants and poop out the football and Randy Moss pretended to moon the crowd after a touchdown.

I think it’s okay to celebrate in the end zone as long as you keep it clean. Here’s my rule: if your celebration involves your tush, then it’s probably not okay.
