GET READY BLEACHER BOY FANS! This week’s Athlete of the Week goes to…

Drew Rosen.  Drew is an 8th grader from Scarsdale, NY who is an excellent lacrosse player. He got immediately hooked on the sport after watching an NCAA Championship game when he was in third grade.  As a little kid, he was so obsessed with lax he slept with his stick in his bed.  Drew has played for Scarsdale Elite Youth Travel Lacrosse since third grade. He was also selected to play on the Elite Team 91 Tristate travel team and has also played for the Long Island Express Elite travel program.

Drew has a huge shot which is hard and accurate. He wears #8 and always plays attack line 1 on the A teams and often plays up with older kids. This year in 10 games for Scarsdale, Drew has 17 goals and 9 assists. In a tied game against the Mamaroneck A team, Drew scored the game winning goal on an inside roll dodge to beat the goalie to the top right of the net. For Team 91 in 3 tournaments, Drew has 12 goals and 6 assists. Two great seasons indeed!

Drew is a fan of Lehigh Lacrosse, the Boston Celtics, the NY Rangers, and the NY Giants. He loves hanging with his lacrosse buddies, playing lacrosse and basketball for fun, video games, and just walking around the village of Scarsdale. Congratulations Drew and welcome to the huddle!!
