It hasn’t been easy being a Jets fan. We haven’t made it to the Super Bowl in 48 years. We’ve had terrible coaches and quarterbacks. In fact, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions against the Chiefs last year. But I have a good feeling about the Jets this year, and here is why:

First, we got the number six pick in the NFL draft, Jamal Adams. He was the top safety prospect in the nation and during his college career he had tons of stops and made lots of interceptions. He can really help the Jets on defense.

Next, we got rid of a few really bad players. Geno Smith went to the Giants and Fitzpatrick went to the Buccaneers. They were dragging us down so we should definitely be better without them. They were both quarterbacks, which means we have new quarterbacks who are younger and will probably try harder.

Finally, the Jets have a few new coaches such as John Morton and Hall of Famer Kevin Greene.  They are known to be big yellers and will make the team more disciplined.

When I was born, my parents made my middle name Jett, after the NY Jets. So I am stuck with this team forever. That’s why I really hope that I’m right and that this year we can start to be great!
