GET READY BLEACHER BOY FANS! This weeks athlete of the week goes to….

JAMES FREISER!! James is 10 yrs old and is a 4th grader at Maugham Elementary in Tenafly, NJ. This is James’ first year wrestling for the Tenafly Tigers and he is doing GREAT!

His first two matches ever were against Ridgewood and Old Tappan and he won both with take downs. What a great start to the season with a 2-0 record! His next two matches were this past weekend where he lost one and won one. James pinned his first opponent in just about 17 seconds! His next opponent was a boy much bigger than James. He fought extra hard and scored against the boy but his opponent managed to pin him in the last 13 seconds. James’ record is now 3-1 for the season. He was really proud of himself for taking on a bigger opponent and for not being afraid or giving up.

James practices 3 times a week. He trains twice a week with Tenafly at the high school and once a week at Red Nose wrestling in Cresskill. If you have ever seen James practice or play any sport, you know he is one of the most dedicated players with some of the best sportsmanship out there. His teammates say he is committed and loyal and always has something positive to say.

James also plays baseball and tackle football for the Tenafly Tigers. His favorite athletes are most of the Seattle Seahwawks like Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch. He’s also a huge Michigan fan and loves Jabrill Peppers.

Way to go James! We can’t wait to see what you do next! The Bleacher Boys agree you definitely deserve to be Athlete of the Week! Congratulations and welcome to the huddle.
